To prevent the onset of male puberty (and the growth of beard or body hair), “I Am Jazz” star Jazz Jennings has been undergoing hormone therapy for some time.
Jazz uses blockers that do not allow beard growth and other male characteristics, as well as making use of estrogen to develop a female body.
Although the treatments are expensive (about $ 18,000), her parents support her unconditionally, as Jazz’s father Greg Scott tells ABC:
“We don’t encourage, we support. And we just keep listening to what she tells us.”

Ahmir Steward, ex-boyfriend of “I am Jazz” star Jazz Jennings, answered some questions from his fans yesterday, August 2.
Among other things, Ahmir has classified himself as “non-binary”. The term “non-binary” refers to people who do not define themselves as belonging to any gender, male or female.
When a fan asked about his mother’s reaction to his revelation, Steward said something very sad:
“Officially, she kicked me out and I’ve been staying with my aunt. Which sucks sometimes, but yeah.”
Ahmir, after the breakup of his relationship with Jazz Jennings, revealed to be suffering from depression.
