Kirlyam and Alan Cox met in Brazil on a mission trip taken by him. Dating started seven years later, and soon the couple filed for the K1 visa.

Despite Kirlyam’s difficulties regarding the distance from her family in Brazil, in 2017 Kirlyam and Alan welcomed their first child, Liam.

The couple had to move to Alan’s parents’ home in Utah when he left his job. Alan then considered going with his family to Brazil in an attempt to find happiness. However, all three remain in the US today in North Carolina.

So far, apparently, Alan and Kirlyam are together and happy.
