“Sister Wives” star Janelle Brown was reportedly married to Meri’s brother before joining Kody Brown.

According to Star Magazine, Janelle was allegedly married to Adam Barber in December 1988 and divorced in 1990. Three years later, Janelle would be joining Kody in an unofficial ceremony – since Brown was already married to his first wife, Meri.

The family was even investigated for bigamy in Utah, but there were no punishments.
