Jarrid Wilson, founder of “Anthem of Hope,” a Christian organization aimed at helping people living with depression and anxiety, died two days ago in an apparent case of suicide.
By 2017, Jarrid would have encouraged “Outdaughtered” star Adam Busby to seek treatment for his depression. At the time, Adam traveled to Nashville to meet the pastor, and the two became close friends.
Jarrid himself had already described himself as “a person who had been dealing with severe depression for most of his life, and contemplated suicide on several occasions.”
In his Instagram, Adam Busby expressed his regret over the pastor’s passing:
“My heart is so broken… In one of the darkest and most confusing times of my life, Jarrid Wilson sought me out. When i pushed him away and ignored his persistent attempts to help, he stayed right there and wouldn’t be defeated. God used you as His Hands and Feet as you walked with me through getting help with my depression. (…) Tragically, Jarrid went to be with the Lord last night. I will see you again my dear brother.”
Jarrid Wilson leaves a wife and two children.
