During “Mama June From Not to Hot”, we saw the transformation of “Mama” June Shannon, who underwent bariatric surgery and lost a lot of weight during the show.

However, for his daughter Anna Cardwell, June would have faced the operation not for her health, but for the program. At least that’s what Cardwell told E! Online in the year 2017.

“I think she did it just to be more famous,” said Anna. “I don’t think she did it just for her because she never mentioned anything ever before about getting plastic surgery. That’s my opinion on that. I don’t think she did it or anything for herself. If she would have done it for herself, she would have tried to lose the weight a long time ago.”

Anna also knew that June’s manager had influenced her, because the same manager offered the same to Anna herself, promising her “another chance for fame.” Cardwell said that ifs he participated in another show, it would not involve surgery… (keep reading)
